Hey Everyone. I am still working on my Spring Vignette. I have developed a cohesive set of items to use for the Vignette. But not one of the items pops!! There is no wow factor! I created a several items, hoping that one would be my staple piece. However no such luck!!! I am going to continue to work on it until Friday. If I do not have a staple piece, I am moving along. I will have a finished project on Friday. Staple piece or not!!!

So my Vignette is not coming together as I thought it would (seems like this is a common theme for me lately). However, I do have some key pieces but as it stands at the moment it is an unfinished project. I hope by the end of this week I will have a cohesive final project.

Homemade hair and body product
Hello everyone!!! I hope you are enjoying your day. Today I am making homemade hair products. I found a recipe for shealoebutter at http://www.naturalhairrules.com/shealoe-shea-butter-aloe-vera-gel/ . Which is a moisturizer for your hair and body. It is mixture of shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe vera gel.
My hair gets extremely dry, so I am hoping this recipe will help me combat this issue. Here is what the final mixture looks like.
I will give you an update in about a month to let you know if it works. See you soon!!!

Wonderful Wednesday
Hello Everyone!!!. We made it to mid week. As for me, I am still working on my Spring Vignette. I hope to be finished by Friday(wishful thinking). I did manage to crank out some more projects from the mish mash of ideas I have in my head. I created a runner for the space. It screams spring! I like it. Even though it is not looking or feeling like spring outside, I will have a piece a spring inside. It will come together!!!!!
When I was contemplating my spring vignette. I came across some bunny decor from the thrift store. One of my favorite finds was a bunny box(for lack of a better word). See for yourself.
Not sure how I am going to incorporate it into my vignette. But I am sure I will make it work. I just love this little piece. Wish me luck!!!!

2. Embellish
Yes it is just that simple. I made during the Christmas season. Hence the colors. But all you have to do is use spring colors and you will have a spring wreath. Here is my finished product.
Simple and cute. I went for simple embellishments. But you can embellish until your heart is content.
See you soon!!!

Manic Monday
Hello Everyone!!!! I hope you all had a good weekend. Surprisingly, I accomplished a lot this weekend. I started my spring vignette and I completed the desert table for the royal baby shower. Job well done, if I must say so myself.
The Royal Baby Shower was on Sunday. I was impress with the color choices. The purple and gold exuded a grandiose vibe that was fit for royalty. So mission was accomplished. I was also super impressed with the dessert table I created. It was fit for a king all on a modest budget. See for your self.
Moving on to my vignette. It is in process. It is still a mish mash of pieces that are all in my head. I did crank out a fabric/floral wreath and I am using the egg topiary that I displayed last week. If you missed it here it is again.

Don't know how much I am going to get done today. The kids are not in school. They have another snow day. Well wish me luck!!! See you tomorrow for Tutorial Tuesday!!!
